Kevin Coyle
Kevin Coyle is an attorney and natural resource planner with more than four decades of experience and leadership in environmental conservation and education. He has served as a executive for the US Department of the Interior heading up the National Wild and Scenic Rivers planning program for the northeast U.S. He has served as CEO of American Rivers and the head of the National Environmental Education Foundation. He was also Vice President of and Counsel to the National Wildlife Federation and was a founding board member and Vice President of River Network. Kevin’ has kayaked and hiked many parts of the Potomac and Shenandoah. His very first experience on the Potomac was piloting a 40-foot launch from Point Lookout to Washington D.C. as a teenager in the sea scouts. Kevin also served for ten years on the board of the Potomac Conservancy including three years as chair. He has received many awards and acknowledgements over the years including having been placed on a list of the top ten U.S. river conservationists of all time by Canoe Magazine.
