Join Potomac Riverkeeper Network on July 8th from 12 – 1 pm as we dive into the fascinating world of freshwater mussels! These remarkable creatures act as nature’s water filters, improving water quality, supporting biodiversity, and strengthening river ecosystems. Did you know: just one freshwater mussel can filter up to 15 gallons in a single day?!

Hear from Dr. Jess Jones of Virginia Tech and PRKN Staff Scientist, Evan Quinter as they explore the vital role mussels play in restoring our waterways and discuss ongoing efforts to bring millions of these transformative bivalves back to the Potomac and Shenandoah watersheds.

As always, we will save time toward the end of the webinar for a Q&A session!
