Whether you’re a seasoned adrenaline junkie or a whitewater novice, this trip is perfect for you!
Say goodbye to the summer with this exhilarating paddle hitting some of the best whitewater in the Harpers Ferry area. You will travel over Bull Falls, down the Staircase, past Harpers Ferry National Historic Park, and through Mad Dog and White Horse rapids! Two boat configurations, whitewater ducky or a guided raft, provides options for paddlers of varying skill levels!
Turn it into a weekend trip by joining us on Friday or Saturday for overnight camping available through Harper’s Ferry Adventure Center!
Shuttle Service: (Sorry, NO shuttle service for hard kayaks or canoes for this event)

- Arrival & Check in Time: 12:00 pm
- Shuttle Departs to Put-In: 1:00 pm
- Estimated End Time: 5:00 pm
- Paddle Level: Beginner-Intermediate (can handle more advanced whitewater strokes)
- Paddle Distance: 7 miles
Included with each registration:
- Riverkeeper Leader
- Rental canoe or kayak
- Personal flotation device for the day (with rental)
- Snorkel equipment
- Shuttle Service (if applicable)
- PRKN Dry Bag
WHAT TO BRING:
- Reusable water bottle (please no plastic bottles or glass)
- Wear proper footwear. NO FLIP-FLOPS. Old gym shoes, sandals with a strap, and water shoes work great
- Sunscreen, hat and rain gear
- Snacks and drinking water (no glass bottles)
- Change of clothes
- Dry Bag or Waterproof Container (if you bring a phone or a non-waterproof camera, you need a way to protect it)
