Swimming in the Seine during the Olympics gave us an opportunity to convince the local media that we had a story to tell about the swimmability of the Potomac — WUSA, the local CBS affiliate, posted a great story.

The press recognized the significance of our settlement with Metcom and gave us some good coverage about the impact on river health.

Shenandoah Riverkeeper Mark Frondorf is the source for the media with questions about the health of the Shenandoah. He was interviewed by the Valley’s WHSV-TV on the impact of the continuing drought

Mark also gave his expert knowledge to the Winchester Star in this piece about E.coli bacteria and swimming in the Shenandoah. He shows his ability to explain thoughtfully and helpfully water quality issues of interest and importance to everyone.

Betsy Nicholas, our VP of Programs and Litigation, was the go-to source for reporting on PFAS testing in some of Virginia’s disadvantaged communities. And who better!? Betsy was at the forefront of efforts during this year’s legislative session in Richmond to encourage lawmakers to fund this kind of research.
